Neurodivergent-friendly training at MAW
Clear structure. Calm coaching. No pressure to perform.
You don’t need to explain yourself to train here.
What “ND-friendly” means here
- Predictable class flow (you know what’s next)
- One-layer cues and visual demos
- Options for quieter pacing without attention on you
How a session is structured
- Arrival + quick orientation
- Warm-up with clear start/end points
- Technique block (coached, repeatable)
- Controlled padwork or drills
- Finish + next step (simple, optional)
Choices you can make without explaining
If you want less noise, more time to learn, or a calmer corner of the room, that’s normal. Coaching adapts to how you respond — not labels.
Do I need to tell you I’m neurodivergent?
No. You can just tell us what helps: clearer cues, quieter pacing, more time, or fewer surprises.
Will I be pushed to spar?
No. Sparring is not the entry point. Your first priority is safe fundamentals and confidence.
What if I feel overwhelmed mid-session?
You can pause, step back, or switch to a simpler drill. That is treated as normal and supported.
Is this just for ND people?
No. This structure helps anyone who prefers clarity: beginners, anxious returners, parents, and busy professionals.
If you are neurodivergent, anxious, returning after time away, or simply want clear coaching without pressure, you do not need to explain yourself here.
