About the studio

A boxing studio built for real people, not fighters only.

The MAW Studios is a small, independent space in Hackney Wick. We teach boxing and kickboxing the way they should feel — technical, focused and safe — without the ego or chaos of a big-box gym. You’ll train in small groups, learn proper form, and progress at a pace that fits around work, family and real life.

  2. Arrive 10–15 minutes early so we can settle you in.
  3. We’ll guide you through the basics and look after you from bell to bell.

Common questions before you start.

Do I need any experience?

No. Our Essentials classes are designed for complete beginners and improvers. We show you how to wrap your hands, stand, move and punch safely.

What do I need to bring?

Comfortable training clothes, a water bottle and, if you have them, hand wraps and gloves. If not, we can guide you and have options at the studio.

Is it okay if I’m nervous or out of shape?

Yes. Most people who start with us feel the same. Classes are capped and coached so we can adapt intensity and keep you safe.

How do memberships work?

Memberships are simple: pick how often you’d like to train, then book your classes through our online schedule. You can pause with notice if life gets busy.
